Pedego 700c City Commuter - Step Thru

The Pedego City Commuter is the perfect mode of transportation for people needing a quality electric bike to travel to and from work and up and down hills with ease and reliability. It combines smooth lines with a quiet, dependable motor located in the bike’s rear hub. The rear rack integrates the 36-volt 10-amp lithium ion battery and also provides a sturdy base to carry bags or baskets. A 36-volt 15-amp upgraded battery is available for longer distance or 48-volt lithium ion battery is also available for increased power.

The City Commuter differs from other Pedego electric bikes in that it offers a pedal assist mode in addition to Pedego’s hand-throttle motor control. Pedal assist provides 5 levels of power that automatically support your pedaling. If you regularly commute through hilly or windblown areas, you’ll find this feature extremely helpful. This function is easy to control. Applying a brake automatically cuts the pedal assist power. And it is quickly switched on or off by means of a control screen that sits on the handlebar within easy reach. The pedal assist function can be switched off when a rider wants to use the throttle mode only, or no motor at all. Top speed of the City Commuter is 20 mph and the bike has a range of 20 miles with no pedaling and up to 40 miles in the pedal assist mode with the standard battery. your distance will vary based on weight, terrain and speed.

Additional features include Shimano® 7 speed gearing, 28” Schwalbe® Fat Frank tires, front and rear disc brakes, fenders and front and rear lights. The City Commuters are available in classic and step-thru designs and a choice of black or white.
